WHAT SUBJECT IS IMPORTANT TO PASS DURING A MATURITY EXAM?
A modern foreign language and two subjects to choose from the following: chemistry, physics (with astronomy), information technology, Polish language, mathematics.
CAREER
Architecture graduates employability prospects lead to design studios, construction installations and supervision as well as to the units of municipal or state administration.
Completion of the architecture degree programme enables to be also employed in the sphere of publishing and advertisement graphics as well as art exhibitions.
The didactic process enables architecture department students to participate in drawing and painting outdoor plennery sessions in Poland and abroad, in workshops, architectural contests as well as in the activities of student scientific organizations.
Additionally, the students have the possibility to undertake one semester or even a year at one of 150 partner universities in line with the international student scholarship exchange programme Erasmus+.
ADDITIONAL EXAM
Please note: You have to pass an additional exam if you want to study at this department, which involves three tasks testing the candidate’s predispositions for initiating education at the chosen faculty. Each of the tasks is assessed within the point range from 0 to 100 points. The technique of task performance: pencil.
- phase I – imaginative drawing (2 academic hours),
- phase II – imaginative drawing with elements of geometry (2 academic hours),
- Phase III– indoor drawing from nature (3 academic hours).
On the first day, exams on imaginative drawing (phase I) and imaginative drawing with elements of geometry (phase II). A positive decision of an Additional Exam Committee qualifies to take part in the III phase being an indoor drawing from nature.
An exam end result is regarded as positive if the candidate gathers not less than 100 points from the three tasks altogether.

BASIC INFORMATION
The programme lasts 3 semesters in a daily full – time mode – S (on site) and is completed with a diploma examination (defence of a diploma work and a final exam).
The graduates obtain a Master’s degree (magister inżynier).
Faculty curricular contents cover:
- education in the sphere of architectural design;
- education in the sphere of urban design;
- education in the sphere of monuments protection;
- education in the sphere of spatial planning.
The graduates of the second cycle studies are prepared to be employed in: architectural and urban design studios, units of municipal and state administration, research institutes and they can conduct business activities individually. The graduates possess management and team work abilities.
Second cycle Master’s degree programmes provide basis for initiating the doctoral studies (third cycle studies) and research work.
The mandatory requirement of admission to the second cycle studies is obtaining a degree of a Bachelor of Architecture (diploma of completion the first cycle studies at the department of architecture) and an interview.
The decisive criterion for the admission to the second cycle studies is the final, diploma grade obtained after completion of the first cycle studies and a portfolio of achievements gathered during the first cycle studies.
