WHAT SUBJECT IS IMPORTANT TO PASS DURING A MATURITY EXAM?

A modern, foreign language and two subjects to choose from the following: mathematics, chemistry, information technology, physics (with astronomy), Polish language.

CAREER

The graduates are prepared to be employed in:

  • executive companies,
  • design units,
  • building materials industry,
  • units of municipal and state administration associated with construction and architecture,
  • construction supervision,
  • concrete and building elements production plants.

They also have the possibility to possess building qualifications to design and control construction works – in line with the provisions of the Construction Law and the Regulation of the Ministry onperforming independent technical functions in the construction industry – after implementing vocational internship and passing an exam at the Regional Selection Committee of the Regional Construction Engineers Chamber on the knowledge of the legal regimes connected with the construction proceedings and abilities of technical knowledge practical application.

FIRST CYCLE STUDIES

The programme lasts 7 semesters both in the daily full – time mode – S (on site) and in part – time mode – NS (extramural) and it is completed with a diploma work defence.

The graduates obtain a Bachelor degree.

The basic educational contents involve e.g.: mathematics, physics, chemistry, and theoretical mechanics.

The educational contents of the field of study cover among others: construction materials, strength of materials, building mechanics, soil mechanics and foundations, building physics, general construction, concrete installations, metal installations, technology and organization of building proceedings.

The graduates possess the knowledge and abilities on construction in the area of:

  • performing residential municipal utilities and communication facilities,
  • designing basic building facilities and building elements,
  • technologies and building organization,
  • managing teams and construction companies,
  • producing, selecting and applying modern building materials,
  • computational techniques and modern technologies in the engineering profession.
